One week ago today, Military Husband and I were discussing adopting another dog. We both desperately wanted to rescue a pug, but there were none to be found in Boston. Military Husband suggested I look in New Hampshire or Maine. I did a quick search on Maine's Craigslist and there he was:
A 7 year old male pug who needed a good home.
I could not resist this face.
His previous owner had brought him to a vet to be euthanized and a wonderful woman named Renee convinced the owner to surrender him. After filling out an application and talking with Renee, she allowed us to adopt the pug. Renee is so fantastic and we love her! I highly recommend her and her business to anyone in the New England area.

I picked him up on Thursday afternoon and he has been with us ever since being loved to pieces. We named him Castiel because as you know (if you read my blog), Military Husband and I are Supernatural fans. Besides, he totally is our angel. Castiel had a different name pre-adoption, and I know not all of you will agree with this, but we decided new life/new name. We want him to have a complete fresh start on life with us that involves happiness and adventure. I think that deserves a new name that suits this heavenly creature!
Now it is time for cuteness overload:
Car ride to his new life.
Meeting BabyBelle Pug.
Taking a quick nap after a long day.
Watching TV with Daddy.
Just hanging out with BabyBelle Pug.
Family time at Nahant Beach.
He loved the beach.
Castiel is so happy to be one of the new pugs on the blog! You will be seeing a lot of him around here.
