Currently Giving Me All The Marvel Feels (Fall 2016)

Is it Fall yet, friends? Can I just declare it Fall since this:

Is happening this month at McDonald's? #pumpkincrazypeople

Being that it is officially Fall, my guts are gurgling in a Marvel sort of way. But, BUT, let's face it - I am always having the "Marvel feels."

What can I say?

But truly, I digress.

Here is what is Currently Giving Me All The Marvel Feels (Fall 2016).

Luke Cage

I legit cannot wait for September 30, 2016 because Luke Cage is coming to Netflix. The official trailer launched and It. Is. EVERYTHING.

Trip Hop Fans: Did you hear Hooverphonic's 2Wicky in that trailer? Or WHAT?
#MARVELGETSME #triphop4life

Luke Cage has spared no cost with a star studded cast including Alfre Woodard, Frankie Faison, Theo Rossi and Frank Whaley. Yours truly will be recapping every episode right here on the blog. I hope you will join me in this series journey!

I'm Actually Agent Fury

Mili Wifey Fact No. 234: I drive an obnoxiously large black SUV because I think I am Nick Fury. And now, thanks to Jays Decals on Etsy, I am actually him.

Yup, I just ride around all day awaiting a good old fashioned car chase with HYDRA.

Halloween 2016: I Don't See How That's A Party

My Halloween costume has arrived and let's just say:

I am really stoked because I basically have two outfits - one for daytime and one for evening. This is going to be truly epic and I am going to own Halloween. Look out, bitches kids!

I know, I KNOW, I am always going on 12 years old. #sorrynotsorry

Avengers Artistry

In our new house, I have my own nerd room and I have been working diligently to decorate it all geektastic. I decided to produce my own Marvel wall mural. I bought 8x10 canvases, acrylic paint and paintbrushes.

Thus, with a TON OF little patience and freehand drawing, I created:

I am so proud of this creation. When I walk in my room, it really does give me the #MarvelFeels.

Do you plan to watch Luke Cage? Will you be reading my recaps and thoughts? What do you plan to dress as for Halloween? Let me know in the comments below!

I gotta a feeling that this fall's going be a MARVEL-ous time because I am,

  17. The last Halloween we did the dress up thing my husband wore an authentic WWI soldiers uniform (The Doughboy) complete with saber sidearm and gear. I said "what should I go as?" He said "it should pair up with this" Not wanting to be field nurse girl, I wore white sweats, top and bottom with a bandanna and a chef's hat with a familiar blue logo on it. I was the PILLSBURY dough boy. On the plus side, the girl that wore the tiny little tight Girl Scout outfit got to munch on a single carrot stick at the party and with my pants, I could scarf down a couple three cupcakes and a martini.

This year we're going to a party at a doctor's house, a girl and her husband my husband went to college with. Most everyone one there will in the medical field. I will wear army fatigues, just the top half (large to cover my bum) with nude leggings. My husband will wear the bottom half of the fatigues with a nude colored t-shirt. We're going as Upper and Lower G.I.

Can't wait for Nick Cage - we recently got rid of the TV, too much space in a tiny living room, and we usually just live stream or watch tapes on a huge computer monitor that I telework with that's in the den/office. I'm so getting Netflix so I can watch this.

  18. I'm pretty pumped that it's practically Fall! not that it makes a difference in Hawaii.. Great job on the canvases! Hubs would love those!

  19. I may have to side step your Luke Cage posts as my TV watching time is limited and I'll probably be a little behind (still not got thro Daredevil season 2 yet). Love the idea of a nerd room, I want a man shed which will basically be the same (except it'll be bikes and Star Trek).

  20. A. Your mural is awesome! We just did my 3 year old sons room in all superheroes, I wish I would have thought about something like this.
    B. Now I'm super sad with buyers remorse. I just bought a new car. While it's black, it's a sedan, not an SUV. Now I want and SUV so I can join in on a HYDRA chase. Damn, my poor planning. This I can exchange it?
    C. I don't really have a 'C', but having only A and B didn't seem right.
Oh, wait, I did too. C. I also love fall, and fully support you declaring it fall. I normally love summer but this here there have been FAR too many 90+ degree days in Michigan with no breaks or rain. I'm over it, lets bring on Fall! And Candy corn!

    1. Aw yea!! You need a SUV like Nick Fury! LOL! Or at least a Colsen car???
You can still do the murals! It's so easy and fun! You should totally try to do one! I used some examples from Etsy as guides!!

  21. Your Mighty Wall of Avengers Art is fabulous! I'm not planning on watching Luke Cage, Agents of SHIELD, or any of the other Marvel offerings etc., because I try to limit my Marvel fanaticism to the Avengers and X-Men in an effort to keep things manageable, y'know?

    1. Ahh you're missing out! At least watch the Netflix shows. Daredevil is one of my favorites next to Agent Carter. And Jessica Jones is a badass! Agents of Shield takes a bit to get into, but they tie the show in well with the movies. Plus you get a Nick Fury cameo in the first season! So many great women on that show too.
