Pug Posts: New Food Is #PrettyKewl

Hi Friends!

As you all know, #MaddiethePug LOVES to eat. Actually, #MaddiethePug LIVES to eat. Well, recently, I have not been very happy with the food Mommy feeds me. Around lunch, Mommy has to beg me to eat my food and I turn into "Fussbucket #MaddiethePug." It is not #prettykewl because Mommy gets frustrated and I just stand around like a goat for anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour barking and looking at my food bowl.

So, Mommy decided to buy new food.

I FREAKING LOVE THIS STUFF! As soon as Mommy opened it, she noticed it had no odor which made her happy (Editor's Note: I loathe stinky dog food smell. Yuck!). She put the bowl of food down and I immediately started gobbling and smacking. It is delicious. My favorite Rachael Ray Nutrish flavors are Chicken Paw Pie and Hearty Beef Stew.

Here I am enjoying my new food:

Since Mommy started feeding me Rachael Ray Nutrish, I have lots of new energy and I have normal #MaddiethePug nougies (NO runny poo or upset tummy). Mommy is thrilled to see the food is making me a happy, healthier girl. I have been running around like crazy!

But no worries, I still do a lot of this:

Because I am pug.

Editor's Note: I know, I KNOW, I bought this at the grocery store and not everyone is a fan of "store brand food;" please do not give me grief! Maddie really seems to love it so far and she is SUCH a picky eater when it comes to puppy food. Also, this post was not sponsored. Rachael Ray does not give two flips about me or my blog. However, she should love my pugs because they are both AWESOME.

Have you ever tried the Rachael Ray pet food? What is your pet's favorite brand of food? Mommy would love to know so maybe we can look for other food to try that you all suggest! Let us know in the comments below.

Smacking on my new food, I am,

We like da I and Love and You dog food - we got to try it for free and we just picked up a bag at da grocery store. It can be hard to find a food dat Finley isn't allergic too, but dis one works for us. And we both really like it.

Jake gets supplemental people food but only a few bites. he loves green beans and cooked carrots and small bites of pasta, Tell your assistant I love fire, always have

    1. You gotta stick with what you love! I think Maddie has gotten pickier in her old age. We tried a bunch of different things, but this one has been the winner. When getting her to eat is a chore, I will take anything! Lol.

  9. YAYAYAYAYAYAY Maddie my friend a girl likes what she likes and she has to stand her ground until she gets it. Mom has seen Ms. Rachel's food in the pet stores and we love her commercial.

  10. I buy my dog that Cesar stuff...the fancy food! But her dry food is from the pet food store--the healthy stuff. I just top it off with a half a package of the filet mignon/New York strip stuff.

    1. She was on Cesar! That's what she fussbucketed at! Lol. I guess she got sick of it.

  11. Glad you found a food that works and people who judge you for what kind it is or where you got it need to get over themselves. It's no better than people judging moms who formula feed instead of nurse.
I used to have pets and I remember the gross food smells all too well. Glad this isn't offensive to the nose. :)

    1. Haha I just know how some people get about store bought food! Lol. I agree for the most part but it's so hard to keep her happy.

    2. I didn't know there was an issue with store bought food. Shows how ignorant I am. As long as she's happy though! :)

    3. Yeah. It's the raw food diet everyone has their pets on now! I've done it for Maddie but she got bored of it fast! Xxoo

  14. Even though it is a store brand, I think this is a great dog food! We switched from Science Diet seamlessly to Rachel Ray a few months ago. Love it!

  17. I have used her dry food and the dogs seem to like it. Sadie is way more picky than Ries who eats pretty much anything not nailed down. Blue Buffalo is the food I used to give them all the time that they actually agreed on but I switched to Iams and Sadie isn't as happy. I just don't have the energy to run to a specialty place for dog food anymore so they have to suffer with the stuff I can get at the grocery.

    1. They didn't like the Blue Buffalo at ALL. But they love this stuff. Petsmart isn't far from our house so it's not a big deal, but I just haven't found a food they love from there yet. I bought the Rachael Ray on a whim!

  18. Cocoa is not a fan of food in general really. Crazy to me because I love food!! I need to look into maybe giving her some variation. I tried the Rachel Ray soup bones for her and she did like them. We buy her store food. The vet recommended it and said it is the best store bought food with minimal ingredients.

  21. Maddie, you sound just like my picky Hunter-if we have other dogs around, he'll eat his kibble but if there isn't, he expects to eat only human food. Our daughter's Mini-Schnauzer is on RR kibble, but Hunter doesn't like that. I think whenever we find something our picky eaters will try it is worth it. Hunter also doesn't like canned food-would rather have me cook him chicken or ground round. Great job Maddie, keep it up.

  22. Sounds like you found a winner as far as taste goes. Don't know much about Rachel Ray.

We had a hard time finding comments at the bottom of the post on the home page. The section was so light in color we only found it because we figured there had to be somewhere to click for it.

  23. When you have a picky eater, you have to feed the whatever they will eat. I feed Dr. Harvey's foods and they are fabulous. You add your own proteins and oil. They also have the "just add water" recipe. ☺

  24. Well, I have a labrador. And they will pretty much eat anything, including cat poop. GROSS. So my Abby loves cat poop, but won't touch lettuce or grapes. Go figure.

Let me tell you about how the pugs eat puke. It's a pug thing. They eat SO fast that they sometimes toss it back up...and yep, they want to eat it. I always stop them and Military Husband says Maddie is thinking "what a waste."
