5 Reasons Sarah Hay From "Flesh and Bone" Should Win A Golden Globe

Little known fact, I am passionate about the ballet.

Baby Ballerina Mili Wifey

Alas, I was born with completely flat feet. I had no arch whatsoever, and my ballet instructor told my mom I would never be a dancer. While discouraging, I continued my appreciation for ballet by attending performances and watching film and television programs, captivated by the music and beautiful lines of the dancers. Recently, I binge watched Flesh and Bone, Starz's ambitious limited series about the competitive world of ballet. The series is nominated for two Golden Globes on January 10, one of which is Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television for the title role played by newcomer Sarah Hay.

  2. You're at SheKnows! Congratulations! That's awesome. I did the ballet thing (plus tap and jazz) for 24 years. Unfortunately, though I am quite tall and (was) really slender, I had the legs of a wiener dog on a long torso and D cups that seriously honked up my Swan Lake center of gravity. It was fun while it lasted though.

  10. Yep that was back in 1974 when they could get by with 'things' like that. It surely would not be tolerated today. And....in Kindergarten they would not buy left handed scissors. We had to buy them for her. Times they have changed.
