10 Reasons Every Woman Should Care About Agent Carter

If you knew me in real life, you would know my Marvel obsession is real. If something is happening or will happen in the MCU, I must know.

I am not really certain why it has taken so long for me to post about my love for Marvel Comics. Probably my obsession with enthralling you all with the details of my life in Hoodrat Central. In all seriousness folks, I grew up in upper middle class suburbia. I am about as gangster as Cher Horowitz.

But truly I digress.

Anyhoo, in today's post I would like talk about my current favorite Marvel obsession, ABC's midseason Marvel series, Agent Carter.

Lifetime Movie Network Reloaded: Lost Boy

Greetings and Salutations, friends.  Time again for another Lifetime Saturday night movie recap and boy, are you all in for a steaming pile of cow shit masterpiece. To be perfectly honest, Military Husband worked so many long hours last week, I thought about passing on the Lifetime movie last Saturday night to spend time with him. Besides, the Lifetime plot device this week was "missing child," which always leads to the "hysterical, annoying, whiny mother" device which just sounded like a big fat #nahhhh.

BUT alas, Military husband reminded me of the importance of these recaps.

Husband: OH. You have to watch your movie. For THE PEOPLE. You know, YOUR PEOPLE.

And then I realized, oh NO, this has become a regular "thing," a habitual routine of sorts, and the kind I would rather not talk about in public, like cleaning out my ear wax or wiping up pug nose boogies.

Pug Posts: #MaddiethePug and Mommy's 8 Photographs of Happiness

Hello people of the Internet. It is #MaddiethePug back to her normal, happy, cheeseburger loving self.  And I have a special guest today helping with my post - my mommy! You may not know this, but I'm a mommy's girl. Me and my daddy traveled by car for what seemed like forever to meet my mommy on April 29, 2013. When my mommy opened the car door and I saw her, it was love at first sight. I have been by my mommy's side ever since.

My mommy is helping me with this post today because she and I were tagged twice to do the 8 Photographs of Happiness Tag. First, we were tagged by Miss Melissa, Bentley and Pierre at Barking From The Bayou.  Thank you Miss Melissa! If you are not following Melissa yet, well, you should be.  She is one of the most awesome members of Blogville and she is super supportive of my mommy's blog (which means the world to her).  Then, we were tagged by The Australian Shepherds at Aussies In Charge.  They are awesome and supportive friends, as well! Make sure you are following The Australian Shepherds for all their adventures.

We feel super popular.  Thanks for the tags, friends!

How To Cook Takeout Chinese Fried Rice At Home

Over on my post The Versatile Blogger, Or That Time You Learned Random Facts About ME!, I mentioned I cook amazing fried rice. More than a few of you were like:

Ravenous, eh?  Ya filthy animals.

In this post, I am going to let you in on my secret Chinese fried rice recipe that tastes better than takeout Chinese food. My husband and I LOVE Chinese takeout, but 1) it is expensive to eat out all the time and 2) Chinese food places can be sketch over in Hoodlum Alley, otherwise known as the place I call home. You never know when your favorite Chinese takeout place will change owners and you will show up and be greeted by this:

Right. So, I went about teaching myself how to make Chinese takeout. Folks, this is not rocket science.  However, once I started writing down the recipe, I realized how much of what I do is freestyle. The recipe does take a little trial and error. But I promise you, if you get this recipe down, you will NEVER order Chinese takeout again.

And your husband is going to be all:

Lifetime Movie Network XXL: The Bride He Bought Online

Military Husband had to work all weekend, so alas, I did not make it to see Marvel's Antman. Nope, I was at home giving to the people, otherwise known as, watching another Lifetime Saturday Night Crapfest.  Guys, I have to be honest, some of these movies I watch I am just like:

And this one was no exception.

Lifetime couldn't even spring for Times New Roman.  Let the suckfest begin.

Top 5 Reasons Why I Blog

I was perusing other blogs today and I ran across a popular post - "Why I Blog" and I thought "ooooh interesting."

Actually, what I really was doing was blog-stalking, which is sort of like Facebook stalking, something I like to do too (oh c'mon, you have done this before, admit it!). I did not follow any of these folks blogs, but I read through a few posts because they were all kitschy and said things like:

"I blog because it is like having a Venti non-fat skinny coconut water pumpkin spice with acai latte with good friends. #lovemyStarbs"

"I blog to make the world a better place."

"I blog to meet other perfect people, like me."

"I blog because I had THE CALLING. Like, everyone, and I do mean everyone, was begging to me to write a blog.  So I did."

Lifetime Movie Network, The New Breed: Lethal Seduction

Hi-dee-ho Campers, it is time for another Lifetime movie recap!  Over the past weekend, I had every intention of watching all the SDCC panels uploaded to YouTube (nope, I was not at comic con, #fail #boo #geekinshame), but instead I turned on the trash just for you. You see, it was Saturday night, I guess that makes it alright, and I say, what do I have to lose?

Seriously, folks. A lengthy, expensive college education wasted on trashy movies. But I give of myself to you so freely, and ask nothing in return. Before we get started, I have organized my reviews into one blog page, in case you missed any. Just check the button on the right hand side of my blog marked "Military Wife and Pug Life's Lifetime Movie Recaps" to read them all.

Pug Posts: Update & Thank You Puggy Much Love, #MaddiethePug

Hi Pug Post friends!

#MaddiethePug here, and I wanted to give you all an update on my health.  Early Tuesday morning, we went to the doctor because my leg was clinching up on me the entire night before and I could not walk. My doctor, Miss Ashley, concluded my leg was injured and prescribed me some medicine to begin on Wednesday. She also told my mommy and daddy to keep me confined to a small area, carry me as much as possible, let me rest and only let me potties on a leash or in a confined area of grass.  We did not get x-rays, so we are not sure exactly what happened to my leg. However, my leggies have not always been the strongest because when I was a crazy baby pug I would jump off high places.

On Wednesday and Thursday, my mommy monitored me 24/7.  I got very sick from the medicines, especially the muscle relaxer. My mommy decided to stop the muscle relaxers and only give me the steroids, but I got sick again. It was not #prettykewl.  My leg was improving and I was walking much better, but being sick was awful.  By Friday morning, because I had such an upset tummy from the medicine, I would not eat or drink any water. I felt really awful. I wanted to be in my mommy's lap and be held all morning. Luckily, we had a followup appointment with Miss Ashley on Friday afternoon. My mommy told her all about what happened and she took me off the medicines, gave me an antibiotic, an injection of medicine to coat my tummy and fluids and nutrition through an iv.

Guys, when you are a diva, getting an iv sucks. I pulled it out and sprayed my doctor's assistant with whatever that fluid stuff was in the iv.

The Versatile Blogger, Or That Time You Learned Random Facts About ME!

In today's post, I am going to talk about my favorite subject, namely, myself.  Wait, before you close out of this blog, I actually have an excuse and it does not involve my malignant narcisstic personality disorder that rivals that of Hannibal Lector.

You see, I was nominated for The Versatile Blogger Award by my friend Julie at Jewels Wandering.

Julie is a military girlfriend whose blog I discovered through a military spouse link up. Since then, she has become one of my favorites. She is my musical spirt animal and I have this strange feeling if we ever met in real life, we would not. stop. talking.

I feel that way about several of you ladies.  I know my peeps.

Pug Posts: "It's Not Easy Being Pug" Sing-a-long & Music Video

Hello Pug Post Friends!  Time for another song by me, #MaddiethePug.  Since you all enjoyed the "Puggy Wuggy Wuggy Song", I thought I would share another of me and my mommy's favorites.  The song is called "It's Not Easy Being Pug." If you'd like to do a sing-a-long, the lyrics are sung to the tune of "It's Not Easy Being Green."  If not, feel free to scroll down to the bottom and watch a video of me and my mommy performing "It's Not Easy Being Pug."
