MARVEL-ous Friday: Cap All Day, Everyday

Some things just bring out the #nerd in me. Like give me the nerdy shivers down to my geek spine.

One of Military Husband's coworkers makes Comic-Con cosplay costumes and I was super impressed. I asked Military Husband if his coworker minded me putting the pictures on my blog of my favorite "prop" he made, and he told him "no problem." Therefore, I wanted to share it with you all.

Marvel at Captain America's shield!

Military Husband actually got to hold it and run around with it on his arm. #Jealous

"The nation was founded on one principle above all else: We stand up for what we believe, no matter what the odds or consequences." ~ Captain America

Do any of you do cosplay? Ever dressed up as a favorite character (Comic Book or Movie)? Let me know in the comments below.

  6. I've never done cosplay, but there is a pretty big Comic Con here in Seattle that would be fun to go to. Cool shield.

    1. I love it; I would totally volunteer at SDCC every year. Some of the costumes are better than what the movie creators do!

  8. Have not attended any cons but I've watched it on "Big Bang Theory". Maybe a little nerdy, but lots of fun!

  11. Very cool! I don't but my brother used too. He used to march as a storm trooper in the Disney parades with the 501st group and also had other costumes.

  12. Wow. Great job on the costumes. I went to some of those "cons" with my ex-husband. He was into the horror cons. There were all kinds of actors/actresses from the 80s there. It was kinda exciting, actually!

  13. Oh, that is one FABulous shield!!! I don't wear costumes unless Ma grabs me and wrastles one on me! BOL
She doesn't either, butts wowsa! They do look fun! Ma does love the Superhero movies, butts lately she's been a little annoyed that all the 'American' Superheroes have been played by Brits! (no offense to the nice peeps across the pond) butts since they rarely allow Americans in their movies, it annoys Ma just a smidge that this has been a trend. Okays, she's done venting!! BOL

    Ruby ♥
