The Versatile Blogger, Or That Time You Learned Random Facts About ME!

In today's post, I am going to talk about my favorite subject, namely, myself.  Wait, before you close out of this blog, I actually have an excuse and it does not involve my malignant narcisstic personality disorder that rivals that of Hannibal Lector.

You see, I was nominated for The Versatile Blogger Award by my friend Julie at Jewels Wandering.

Julie is a military girlfriend whose blog I discovered through a military spouse link up. Since then, she has become one of my favorites. She is my musical spirt animal and I have this strange feeling if we ever met in real life, we would not. stop. talking.

I feel that way about several of you ladies.  I know my peeps.

Anyhoo, if you are not following Julie yet, what are you doing with your life?  Julie lives in Singapore and posts awesome, beautiful pictures of her adventures, as opposed to me, who lives in podunk-ville and posts a ghetto photo collage. I know you guys like, but would you not rather follow someone who actually uses a high quality camera and does not just pull out her iPhone and say "oh yeah, that one will do for the blog, little photoshop here, there and eh, fu** it, good enough"?

You know, someone a little less....

You can follow Julie here:

Because I received the Versatile Blogger Award, I am to post seven random facts about myself. As this is an anonymous blog, you probably wonder "who the hell is this person?"  Maybe you have checked out my "About Me" section and said "That's it? WTF?" Right, so I am going to make like Britney Spears and give you more.

Well, I am going to give you seven random facts about me.

7 Random Facts About ME

1) I am 5'3" AND A HALF.  The half counts - trust me.  Being that I am so diminutive in nature, when I gain any amount of weight, including the 1.5 pounds of water weight you gain after eating a 6 pack of Chicken McNuggets (with extra sweet and sour sauce, mind you), I look like this:

Hashtag short people problems.

2) I met my husband online.  Actually, we met on Twitter.   And no, he did not end up looking like this:

He was quite normal and very awesome.

3) I cook amazing fried rice.

Dragon House of China, call me.

4) I have a large X-Files collection, with autographs, books, magazines and other fan memorabilia. When the show was still on the air, I created an X-Files website for other geeks and nerds totally awesome people like me.

5) I taught myself how to crochet using YouTube videos over a course of a few hours.

My latest project.

6) I have quite a few useless talents, for example, I know all the words to Salt N Pepa's Shoop and TLC's No Scrubs.

I will be rocking the nursing home one day.

7) I have never learned how to ride a bike.  I blame Pee Wee's Big Adventure.

He was so IS creepy.

and because I like you, I will give you one EXTRA random fact.....

8) If you are curious as to what I look like, my husband says this is my celebrity doppleganger:

Which is very flattering.

I disagree and think I look more like this, except with blonde hair:

I have very small features like a doll (ex. a size 4 ring finger).  But "spoiler alert" - I bite.

This could be the reason my friend count is a bit on the low side.  Le Sigh.

Now, I have to nominate a few other ladies for The Versatile Blogger Award.  The rules are: 1) Thank the person who nominated you, 2) Post 7 Random Facts about yourself and 3) Nominate a few other bloggers.

Laura at Simply Me, The Way I See It
Alia at Yellow Ribbon Diary
Jenny at The Flutterbye Chronicles
Lana at Two Teens and Their Mama
Amber at Airing My Laundry, One Post At A Time
Jessica at Dear Little Pemberley

And I am still, and always will be,

First off, love that you crochet. I try to but I never find the time and in the summer heat of Texas who wants to be covered in yarn?
Oh and I now want fried rice which I love but which makes my tummy upset. Rice and I don't mix. :(

    1. Oh I know! I've been lazy with that project; I really need to finish.
If I eat too much rice, same! I have to be careful with that and man I love sushi so sometimes I have to skip the rice. Wahh
